Mexico English Teachers' Alliance

hi to all! I am a american citizen that is considering going to mexico to teach english. I have a friend that also wants to start his own school but while he is doing that, we both decided that it would be best for me to find a school or institute that i could teach at. I plan on going there either at the end of this month or the next so what i wanted to know is how easy/hard is it to find a job there?

I have a bachelor's degree in history, i have an associates degree in business, i have 4 years teaching experience and i have taught esl. Thanks!

I would recommend taking the DTES3. This is a relatively new exam and since it's backed by CENNI and SEP, it's one way to get some credentials that is likely to help land a better job. Another exam you might consider is the TKT. It's really going to depend on where and what you want to teach.

Good luck!
