Discovery Activity #3 on page 113. Write about three activities that are interesting for you and would be feasible to do without a course book.

Unit 24 25
For your portfolio, keep a record of the teaching aids and supplementary material you use to complement your course book in a week. Discuss how you used them, whether or not they were effective and what changes you would make for next time.
Instead of an essay, elaborate the chart for aids and supplementary materials shown in Discovery activity #1.
Read the sections about realia in the anthology.
Units 26 Using Lang Appropriately
Discovery Activity #2: Take one of your lesson plans and match the different classroom functions with the stages in your lesson.

Unit 27, 28 Id the functions of learner’s language and categorizing learner’s mistakes
• Unit 27: Review Unit 4. Answer the discovery activity 1 from Unit 4 and the discovery activity 2 from Unit 27 on page 140 for your portfolio.

• Unit 28: Review Unit 11.
• Describe in a paragraph for your portfolio how you would correct writing assignments depending on the tasks’ aims.

Unit 29 and 30 Teacher roles and Grouping students
In a reflection essay discuss the need for using different interaction patterns in a
language classroom. When is it best to use which pattern?
